About DNA Genetics
DNA Genetics was founded by Don Morris and Aaron Yarkoni, two growers from Los Angeles who moved to Amsterdam to build a seed company under Dutch policy. Yarkoni dates the start to about 2003; Wikipedia gives 2004. The 'D' and 'A' in the name come from their first initials.
The pair brought Californian genetics to Europe. Morris says DNA is known as the company that brought OG Kush to Europe and released it in seed form, and their hybrids such as LA Confidential, Chocolope, Tangie and Kosher Kush became widely grown. LA Confidential and Chocolope both took Cannabis Cup placings in the 2000s.
In 2015 DNA partnered with Tweed, part of Canopy Growth, for Canada's legal market, and the founders have since moved much of their work back to California. The seed range covers feminized, regular and some autoflowering versions.
